This is the ideal way to store your pastries and small loafs.
THE WHY. - PLASTIC VS COTTON
Cotton and linen bags are supperior for keeping bread in every way. While plastic bags might be okay for storing conventional bread packed with preservatives it’s not ideal for real breads made from organic flour crusty bread. Bread with a crusty exterior tends to get soggy and mold when wrapped in plastic. It also ironically shortens the longevity of your loaf.
HOW TO USE A BREAD BAG
1.) Place bread in bag and pull strings and place on counter or in bread box.
2.) Cut what you need when you need it, never the whole loaf.
3.) When bread starts to get dry you can revive its origional condition by spritzing it with water and placing in back in the oven.
5.) When the bread becomes too hard to revive, it is likely perfect for french toast.
6.) When its too hard for french toast use it for crutons.
TIPS
- DON'T SLICE YOUR ENTIRE LOAF (Only cut what you need when you need it)
- Only wash when it really needs it by placing it in washing machine with viniger (never use conventinal laundry detergent)
